Chipotle Mexican Grill Coupons 2012

Chipotle has become one of the fastest growing fast food phenomenon in the last few years.  It appears that they are jumping up in new cities every single day.  My life was changed the day I found the first Chipotle to open up in my local town.

The great taste of Chipotle food can be attributed to their company motto of “Food with integrity”.  This means that they strive to keep the menu full of as many organic ingredients and to use nothing but natural ingredients and naturally raised meat than any of their competition.  Try the guacamole, you’ll understand!

Chipotle Coupons

Chipotle likes to be known as the “hip” company.  You’ll find some random deals in addition to regular printable Chipotle coupons.  An example would be the free burrito on Earth Day campaign that they had in April of this year.  They also sold recycled lunch bags that were supposed to reduce up to 78,000 square feet of landfill space.

Just like everything else on this site, you can find the most recent coupons for Chipotle listed as links at the top of this page.  I’ll put up all coupons that I get from their website, email list, my visitors, and other resources.

Chipotle Menu Items

Chipotle has done so well over the years because they keep ordering simple.  You line up on their assembly line of burrito makers and choose between a burrito, burrito bowl, salad, or tacos.  You then move down the line choosing between white rice, brown rice or no rice.  Then pinto beans or black beans.  Some people choose the fajita vegetables before moving down to choose a meat.  Meat choices are chicken, steak, barbacoa, and carnitas.  It wouldn’t be a burrito without salsa options so you get to choose between fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, tomatillo-green chili salsa and tomatillo-red chili salsa.  Other toppings include sour cream, shredded cheese, guacamole (unlike any other), and romaine lettuce.

Chipotle and McDonald’s Corporation

Many people seem to think that Chipotle is owned by McDonald’s.  This is probably due to the 1998 investment that McDonald’s made into the Chipotle corporation.  In 1998 they were just a minority investor, but by 2001 were the largest investors in Chipotle.

In 1998 there were only 16 Chipotle restaurants.  By 2005, with the help of McDonald’s investments, Chipotle grew to over 500 restaurants.  The following year Chipotle went public to an incredible IPO which went up 100% on the first day of trading.  Later that year, McDonald’s took their profit and divested all of their interest in the company (and their holding in Boston Market and Donato’s Pizza).  McDonald’s felt that they needed to focus more on their core business, McDonald’s.
