Krispy Kreme Discount – Save 75 Cents

Free Coffee – Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme Pirate Day Free Donut Offer

National Doughnut Day – Free Doughnut

Krispy Kreme has been a staple to southeastern American doughnut fans since 1937 when they opened their doors to the first location in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Within 20 years Krispy Kreme had expanded their operations to make them a doughnut behemoth throughout the southeast region of the United States.

Krispy Kreme History

The first Krispy Kreme location opened up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina by Vernon Rudolph.  Rudolph helped his uncle start a doughnut shop in Nashville during the Great Depression that ended up failing because of the harsh times.  They moved back to Winston-Salem and opened a Krispy Kreme location using the original yeast doughnut recipe that they used in Nashville.

This location started out selling just to grocery stores (which they still do now).  The recipe was so great that they were able to expand quickly and begin selling directly to customers as well.  It did help that the first location was across from the Salem College and Academy.

Krispy Kreme’s major competition is Dunkin’ Donuts.

Krispy Kreme flavorsKrispy Kreme Doughnuts

Krispy Kreme became extremely popular thanks to their hot and fresh doughnuts that customers could buy right off of the conveyor belt.  The original stores started with just the “Original Glazed Doughuts” but they have expanded to other flavors over the years.

You can still get the Original Glazed Doughnuts in Krispy Kreme stores and even in grocery  stores and convenience stores.  They also expanded to flavors like:

  • Glazed Cinnamon
  • Chocolate Iced Glazed
  • Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles
  • Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled
  • Dulce de Leche
  • Chocolate Iced Custard Filled
  • Glazed Raspberry Filled
  • Glazed Lemon Filled
  • Glazed Cruller
  • Maple Iced Glazed
  • Sugar
  • Cinnamon Bun
  • Cinnamon Twist
  • Cinnamon Apple Filled
  • Glazed Kreme Filled
  • Powdered Strawberry Filled
  • Traditional Cake
  • Chocolate Iced Cake
  • Chocolate Iced Glazed Cruller
  • Powdered Cake
  • Glazed Chocolate Cake
  • Glazed Blueberry
  • Glazed Sour Cream
  • Apple Fritter
  • New York Cheesecake
  • Caramel Kreme Crunch

If these doughnut flavors and types aren’t enough for you, they also have seasonal and promotional flavors.  At the time of this writing Krispy Kreme is advertising Glazed Lemon Cake with Cream Cheese Icing as well as a Key Lime Kreme Pie Doughnut.

If regular doughnuts aren’t your thing, there is always an option for other menu items.  Mini doughnuts are just that, miniature doughnuts.  They are available in original glazed, chocolate iced glazed, and chocolate iced with sprinkles.  They also have doughnut holes, much like Dunkin’ Donuts Munchkins.

Carl’s Jr. Amazing Grilled Cheese Coupon

Carl's Jr.Carl’s Jr. is doing a current promotion in connection with the upcoming Amazing Spiderman movie, set to come out July 3.

This printable coupon is for “The Amazing” Grilled Cheese Bacon Burger Large Combo.  Get it, Amazing Spiderman, Amazing Grilled Cheese?  Not really much of an exciting ad campaign, but you can get $1 off of the meal with this coupon.

The Amazing Grilled Cheese Bacon Burger is a charbroiled burger with 2 strips of bacon and melted American and Swiss cheese served between 2 grilled slices of grilled bread.

I assume this is a limited time sandwich, so if you are a fast food foodie, you might want to try this out before the movie is out of theaters and the sandwich is out of the restaurant.

Haven’t seen the trailer yet for “The Amazing Spiderman” yet?  Check it out below.  Given it is a reboot of a movie less than 5 years old, but it still looks entertaining.

Dunkin’ Donuts Coupons 2012

Dunkin DonutsCoupon – Dozen Dunkin’ Donuts

Dunkin Donuts K-Cup Printable Coupon

Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins are both co-owned by Dunkin’ Brands.  This is why you may see a lot of locations that share both Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins.  It is sort of like the dessert version of a KFC and Pizza Hut combo location.

You can usually find a great deal on doughnuts, munchkins, and coffee if you know where to look.

Dunkin’ Donuts Coupons

Ever since I was a kid, loving my Dunkin’ Donuts, I remember helping my mother pull coupons for Dunkin’ Donuts out of the weekly sales papers so we could get a dozen doughnuts for Sundays.  Now, I have to buy my own doughnuts, and have to clip and print coupons on my own.

Lots of Dunkin’ Donuts coupons are given away locally as most locations are owned by franchisors.  These coupons can usually be found in local ad circulars with coupons for various companies.  There are also a lot of nationally run deals that are available via websites like Printable Restaurant Coupons 2012 and the Dunkin’ Donuts DD Perks Rewards email list.

Like the rest of this site, you can click the links at the top of this post to get the most current Dunkin’ Donuts coupons.  There will be plenty of coupons for coffee, doughnuts, munchkins, and more for me to share.

DD Perks Rewards

There is a free program offered by Dunkin’ Donuts that gets you access to lots of coupons, promotions, news, and specials.  Just by signing up you’ll be able to receive a free medium beverage and then another one for your birthday.

Contests and Promotions

Dunkin’ Donuts seems to regularly add new contests that are fun for their customers.  You can find a lot of them by following them on Twitter or by checking out the newest Dunkin’ Donuts commercials.  Over the years they have had specials like the ongoing Caught Cold campaign that gives away prizes to individuals who are “caught” carrying around an iced coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts.

Dunkin’ Donuts vs. Krispy Kreme

One of Dunkin’ Donuts largest competition is Krispy Kreme, although the two companies don’t necessarily compete over most regions.  Dunkin’ Donuts has a stronghold over the donut shoppers of the northeast United States while Krispy Kreme has loyal customers in the south and to the west.  The doughnut flavors and textures are so different that the regional tastes keep each company thriving while keeping the other from being able to penetrate the market.

Dunkin’ Donuts vs. Starbucks

Krispy Kreme would sound like a bigger competitor to Dunkin’ than Starbucks, because, well one is a doughnut shop while the other sells coffee.  The business model has changed a bit over the years and the popularity of coffee has risen dramatically over the years for Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.  Over half or their sales now come from coffee, making Starbucks the biggest competitor financially.

Dunkin’ Donuts Products

Baked Goods

This has been the pride and joy of Dunkin’ Donuts since their inception.  The company is based on cooking up baked goods that include doughnuts, fritters, muffins, bagels, crullers, Munchkins, biscuits, pastries, cookies, brownies, Bagel Twists, etc.

Breakfast Items

There are various breakfast items now available at most Dunkin’ Donuts locations.  You can get different breakfast sandwiches and they also serve hash browns as a side or a meal if you prefer.

Sandwiches

Since people cannot eat doughnuts for meals, or at least they shouldn’t, DD has included oven toasted flatbread sandwiches and wraps to the menu.

Coffee Beverages

This actually became the money maker for Dunkin’ Donuts with more than half of their sales coming from coffee products.  The main sellers are coffee and iced coffees.  You can also order coffee in bulk, via the Box O’ Joe.  They also sell espressos, Cappuccino, Lattes, and “turbos”.

Other Beverages

If you aren’t a fan of coffee, they offer other options for drinks.  You can order hot chocolate, tea, vanilla chai, and Dunkaccinos for hot beverages.  Cold beverages include Coolattas and iced teas.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Coupons 2012

Chipotle has become one of the fastest growing fast food phenomenon in the last few years.  It appears that they are jumping up in new cities every single day.  My life was changed the day I found the first Chipotle to open up in my local town.

The great taste of Chipotle food can be attributed to their company motto of “Food with integrity”.  This means that they strive to keep the menu full of as many organic ingredients and to use nothing but natural ingredients and naturally raised meat than any of their competition.  Try the guacamole, you’ll understand!

Chipotle Coupons

Chipotle likes to be known as the “hip” company.  You’ll find some random deals in addition to regular printable Chipotle coupons.  An example would be the free burrito on Earth Day campaign that they had in April of this year.  They also sold recycled lunch bags that were supposed to reduce up to 78,000 square feet of landfill space.

Just like everything else on this site, you can find the most recent coupons for Chipotle listed as links at the top of this page.  I’ll put up all coupons that I get from their website, email list, my visitors, and other resources.

Chipotle Menu Items

Chipotle has done so well over the years because they keep ordering simple.  You line up on their assembly line of burrito makers and choose between a burrito, burrito bowl, salad, or tacos.  You then move down the line choosing between white rice, brown rice or no rice.  Then pinto beans or black beans.  Some people choose the fajita vegetables before moving down to choose a meat.  Meat choices are chicken, steak, barbacoa, and carnitas.  It wouldn’t be a burrito without salsa options so you get to choose between fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, tomatillo-green chili salsa and tomatillo-red chili salsa.  Other toppings include sour cream, shredded cheese, guacamole (unlike any other), and romaine lettuce.

Chipotle and McDonald’s Corporation

Many people seem to think that Chipotle is owned by McDonald’s.  This is probably due to the 1998 investment that McDonald’s made into the Chipotle corporation.  In 1998 they were just a minority investor, but by 2001 were the largest investors in Chipotle.

In 1998 there were only 16 Chipotle restaurants.  By 2005, with the help of McDonald’s investments, Chipotle grew to over 500 restaurants.  The following year Chipotle went public to an incredible IPO which went up 100% on the first day of trading.  Later that year, McDonald’s took their profit and divested all of their interest in the company (and their holding in Boston Market and Donato’s Pizza).  McDonald’s felt that they needed to focus more on their core business, McDonald’s.

Cow Appreciation Day – Chick Fil A – Free Meal

Company Info

Chick-fil-A has been a staple to Southern US fast food culture for quite some time now.  The expansions are just starting out in Southern California and the American Midwest.  The expansion among these areas is the new growth method being used by Chick-fil-A. They are now the second largest quick service chicken restaurants chains (one behind KFC) in the United States with 1,615 locations.

While Chick-fil-A began as a shopping mall food court type location, they have also expanded the types of locations that they offer to customers.  The first free standing location did not exist until 1986, but since then over 1,000 free standing locations have come into existence.  There are over a dozen drive through only locations and many licensing agreements with colleges, hospitals, and airports.

Chick-fil-A Coupons and Promotions

You might find out that Chick-fil-A does a lot of promotions where the first “x” amount of people who show up to a certain store will get something free or marked down considerably.  They do also provide plenty of Chick-fil-A coupons via email and advertisements in areas around their locations.  You can always check back on this website to find printable Chick-fil-A coupons as the newest and current coupons will be available via a link at the top of this article.

Chick-fil-A Menu Items

The main menu item from Chick-fil-A would be their chicken sandwich.  The chicken is cooked differently than other chicken sandwiches in the fast food industry.  They take an ACTUAL CHICKEN BREAST (not some weird goop like the competition), they hand bread them, and then pressure cook the chicken in 100% peanut oil.  The chicken is served on a buttered bun with dill pickle chips.  The sandwich is very plain, but full of flavor.

There are also different variations of the chicken sandwich.  They have the spicy sandwich, grilled sandwich, and even a breakfast chicken sandwich.  Another popular item at Chick-fil-A is their chicken nuggets.  Again they take ACTUAL chicken breast meat and pressure cook them to make bite size chicken nuggets.

Over the years they have introduced wraps, salads, desserts, breakfast items, and kids’ meals.  Two other items that make Chick-fil-A popular are both their waffle fries and their unique Chick-fil-A sauce.

College Football

Chick-fil-A has been sponsoring college football since 1994.   They have been the key sponsor for the Peach Bowl since that time.  This game is played in Atlanta (same city as Chick-fil-A headquarters) every year with a team from the ACC playing a team from the SEC.  The bowl game was renamed to be the Chick-fil-A Bowl in 2006.  Chick-filA has remained a key sponsor for the SEC, ACC, and Big 12 conferences of collegiate athletes.

Why is Chick-fil-A closed on Sundays?

Chick-fil-A considers closing down Sundays as part of their “recipe for success”.  The founder, Truett Cathy, decided to close the first location on Sundays in 1946 since week one.  He claimed that it was both a practical and a spiritual decision.  He made the decision that all Chick-fil-A locations should be closed on Sundays in order to give operators and restaurant employees a chance to rest, spend time with family and friends, and worship if they choose.
